At our winery we showcase handcrafted batches of wine, all the result of the teamwork of two generations of the family. With handpicked and carefully treated grapes from our vineyards located in Mileștii Mici, part of the Codru wine region, we assure a premium quality wine, made for your enjoyment, naturally and sustainably. The winery was founded in 1958, and for over half a century it produced wine drawing from the exquisite grapes that grow in the central part of Moldova, where the climate and soil are favorable for growing grapes. Following year 2000, the winery underwent a dramatic organizational and equipment overhaul to enable it to bring exclusive wines to domestic and international customers. Consequently, investments were made in new equipment for grape processing; fermentation tanks, stainless steel barrels for storage of wine. Today, the winery is a dynamic facility employing the latest vinification techniques. By giving top priority to quality, Agrici Winery emphasizes control over the entire production process, from the processing of grapes to the distribution of wine.

The current goal of the company is to promote the quality of Moldovan wine, realizing the potential of producing wine in Moldova, as one of the best winegrowing regions in Eastern Europe.
For more than 50 years, the winery has taken a progressive approach to winemaking. It was founded in 1958 by the state factory-farm “Moldova” in the Milestii Mici village. From the beginning, the winery produced the first series of vineyard-designate wines and the first Pinot Franc, Pinot Gris, Feteasca, Aligote and Sauvignon Blanc. Later it diversified with Riesling, Traminer, Rkatsiteli, Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet-Sauvignon wines. Today, this process continues through a talented winemaking team, led by winemaker Efim Agrici. Using grapes selected from south-facing slopes in top quality regions, the winemaking team crafts a portfolio of distinct wines with fruit-driven flavors and a firm acidity. In 2015 we produced the first wine materials from Muscat grapes, and in 2016 we had the first harvest of Romanian-Moldovan grape variety Feteasca Neagră. Starting with 2015, the wine production is being controlled under the Protected Geographical Indication „Codru”, that pursues in the wine the specific characteristics of this viticultural area within the central wine region of Moldova. The years of 2016 and 2017 had favorable warm conditions giving us an extended growing season and adding character to the grapes.
The first range of bottled wines under the brand name agrici.wine was launched at the Wine Festival edition 2017 – Vernisaj în Vals de Primăvară. This single variety range, which includes five wines with Protected Geographical Indication (Cabernet Sauvignon, Feteasca Neagră, Cabernet Sauvignon Rosé, Moscato and Chardonnay) highlights the unique character of Codru wine region, and is complemented by a full-bodied red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and local variety Feteasca Neagră.
According to him, it’s hard not to be given the diversity in geography, climate and soil of Moldova. Efim has always had a progressive approach and sense of adventure toward winemaking that has led him around. After earning a bachelor’s degree in vinification from the Polytechnical institute in Chişinău in 1977, he began working as a technologist-engineer at the factory.
At the winery, in order to craft our wines, the winemaker carefully selects grapes from the top quality viticultural areas within the central and southern wine regions of Moldova, including Codru, Valul lui Traian and Ştefan Vodă. Our family’s vineyards include Cabernet-Sauvignon and Merlot grape variety with vines imported from France; Rkatsteli grape variety with vines imported from Georgia; Chardonnay, Muscat and Feteasca Neagră grape varieties with vines imported from Italy. Since 2004, we invest in new vineyards establishment with the goal of assuring higher quality of the grape supply.
